PRE-OPERATIONANDDAILYSAFETYCHECKLIST
EachClubCarvehiclehasbeenthoroughlyinspectedandadjustedatthefactory;however,uponreceivingyournew
vehicle(s),youshouldbecomefamiliarwithitscontrols,indicators,andoperation.Carefullyinspecteachvehicleto
ensurethatitisinproperworkingconditionbeforeacceptingdelivery.
Usethefollowingchecklistasaguidetoinspectthevehicle.Thischecklistshouldbeuseddailytoensurethat
thevehicleisinproperworkingconditionandinconjunctionwiththePerformanceInspectiononpage31,andthe
PeriodicServiceSchedulesonpage41.AnyproblemsshouldbecorrectedbyaClubCardistributor/dealerora
trainedtechnician.
Anyvehiclenotfunctioningcorrectlyshouldberemovedfromuseuntilitisproperlyrepaired.Thiswillpreventfurther
damagetothevehicleandavoidthepossibilityofinjuryduetounsafeconditions.
AllVehicles
•General:Allthepartsshouldbeinplaceandproperlyinstalled.Besurethatallnuts,bolts,andscrewsaretight.
•Safetyandinformationdecals:Checktoensurethatallsafetyandinformationdecalsareinplace.SeeSafety
DecalandFeatureIdenticationonpage6.
•Tires:Visuallyinspecttiresforwear,damage,andproperinationonadailybasis.SeeVehicleSpecications
onpage70.
•PerformanceInspection:Inspectasinstructed.SeePerformanceInspectiononpage31.
ElectricVehicles
•Batteries:Checkelectrolytetoensurethatitisatitsproperlevel(Figure23,Page51).Checkbatteryposts.Wires
shouldbetightandfreeofcorrosion.Chargebatteriesfullybeforerstuseofvehicle.
•Chargercord,plug,andreceptacle:Visuallyinspectforcracks,looseconnections,andfrayedwiring.SeePlug
andReceptacleonpage57.
WARNING
•Besuretheplastichasbeenremovedfromtheseatbottombeforeoperatingthevehicle.Failuretodo
somayresultinare,propertydamage,personalinjury,ordeath.
GasolineVehicles
•LowMaintenanceBattery:Checkelectrolytetoensureitisattheproperlevel(Figure35,Page63).Check
batteryposts.Wiresshouldbetightandfreeofcorrosionandbatteryshouldbefullycharged.
•NoMaintenanceBattery:Checkbatteryposts.Wiresshouldbetightandfreeofcorrosionandbatteryshould

•Engine:Checkforproperengineoillevel.
