Fortheconvenienceofthetrainedtechnician,thereisaneutrallockoutswitchlocatedontheseatsupportpanel
undertheseat(Figure20).Theneutrallockoutswitchhastwopositions,MAINTENANCEandOPERATE,which
areclearlymarked.
WhentheswitchisintheMAINTENANCEposition,itwillallowthetechniciantoruntheengineintheNEUTRAL
positiontoperformcertainmaintenanceand/orrepairfunctions.Withtheswitchinthisposition,thevehiclewillnot
operateiftheForward/ReversehandleisplacedineithertheFORWARDorREVERSEposition.
WARNING
•WiththeswitchintheMAINTENANCEpositionandtheenginerunning,thevehiclemaymovesuddenly
iftheForward/Reversehandleisshiftedoraccidentallybumped.Topreventthis,chockthefrontand
rearwheelsbeforeservicingorleavingthevehicle.
NOTE:BesuretoreturntheswitchtotheOPERATEpositionafterservicingthevehicle,oritwillnotrunwiththe
Forward/ReversehandleineithertheFORWARDorREVERSEposition.
LOWOILWARNINGLIGHT
Thegasolinegolfcarisequippedwithalowoilwarninglight,locatedonthedashpaneljustbelowthesteeringcolumn
(Figure15,Page27).Ifthewarninglightcomeson,oilshouldbecheckedandaddedtotheengineasnecessary
beforecontinuingtousethevehicle.Thevehicleshouldneverbedrivenwiththelowoilwarninglightremainingon.If
thewarninglightgoesonandoff,youmayproceed,butoilshouldbeaddedattherstopportunity.Iftheoillevelis
correctandthewarninglightstayson,haveatrainedtechniciancheckthevehicle.SeefollowingCAUTION.Thelight
willashrepeatedlytoindicateapossibleproblemwiththeelectronicfuelinjection(EFI)system.
CAUTION
•Failuretoaddoilimmediatelywhenthelowoilwarninglightstaysonmayresultinpermanent
enginedamage.
