5.Usea14mmsocketorwrenchtoremovethedrainplug,turningitcounterclockwise,andallowtheengine
oiltodrainintothepan.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Donotattempttochangeengineoilwhentheengineishotorevenwarm.Engineoilcancause
skinburns.
•Wearsafetyglassesorapprovedeyeprotectionwhenservicingthevehicle.Wearrubbergloves
whenhandlingoildrainplugandoildrainpan.
6.Cleantheoildrainplugthreadswithsolventtoremoveoilandoilresidue.Makesurethatthecompression
washerremainsonthedrainplug.
7.Usea14mmsocketorwrenchandreplacetheoildrainplug,turningitclockwise,andtightento18ft·lb(24.4N·m).
8.Removethedipstickandaddengineoilintothedipstickport.Useafunnelorpourspouttodirecttheoilintothe
dipstickport.Theenginerequires40.0-oz(1.2L)ofoilperchange.10W-30or5W-30gradeSEorhigheris
recommended.Refertooilviscosityguidelinesforselectionofoilgrade(Figure39).Replacethedipstick.
