Shuttheengineoff andremoveignitionkeybeforeremovingthe
cuttingblade(s)forsharpeningor replacement.Protectyourhands
usingheavygloveswhengraspingthe blade.

8. Remountthebeltguardsremovedearlier.
9. Reinstallthedeckas follows:

b. Reconnectthedeck liftarms.SeeFigure12.
10. Pulltherightside ofthe beltandplacethe narrowV sideofthe
beltintothePTOpulley.SeeFigure16.

Periodicallyinspectthebladeand/orspindleforcracksordamage,
especiallyafter you'vestrucka foreignobject.Donotoperatethe
machineuntil damagedcomponentsarereplaced.
Toremovetheblades,proceedas follows:
1. Removethedeckfrombeneaththetractor,(referto CuttingDeck
Removalearlierin thissection)then gentlyflip thedeckoverto
exposeits underside.
2. Placea blockofwoodbetweenthe centerdeckhousingbaffle
andthe cuttingbladeto actas a stabilizer.See Figure17.

11. Whileholdingthe beltandpulleytogether,rotatethepulleyto the
left(See Figure16).Continueholdingandrotatingthe pulleyand
beltuntilthebeltis fullyrolledintothe PTOpulley.
