CLEANING THE TRACTOR
Anyfueloroil spilledonthe machineshouldbe wipedoffpromptly.Do
NOTallowdebristoaccumulatearoundthecoolingfinsof theengine,
thetransmission'scoolingfanor onanyotherpartof themachine,
especiallythebeltsandpulleys.
Deck Wash System
Yourtractor'sdeckisequippedwitha waterporton its surfaceaspart
ofits deckwashsystem.
Usethedeckwashto rinsegrassclippingsfromthe deck'sunderside
andpreventthe buildupofcorrosivechemicals.Completethe following
stepsAFTEREACHMOWING:
1. Drivethetractortoa level,clearspotonyourlawn,nearenough
foryourgardenhosetoreach.
Makecertainthetractor'sdischargechuteis directedAWAYfromyour
house,garage,parkedcars,etc.
2. Disengagethe PTO(BladeEngage),setthe parkingbrakeand
stoptheengine.
3. Threadthehosecoupler(packagedwithyourtractor'sOperator's
Manual)ontotheendofyourgardenhose.
4. Attachthehosecouplerto the waterportonyourdeckssurface.

5. Turnthewateron.
6. Whilesittingin theoperator'spositiononthetractor,startthe
engineandplacethe throttleleverinthe FAST(rabbit)position.
7. Movethetractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intotheONposition.
8. Remaininthe operator'spositionwiththecuttingdeckengaged
fora minimumof two minutes,allowingthe undersideof the
cuttingdeckto thoroughlyrinse.
9. Movethetractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intotheOFFposition.
10. Turnthe ignitionkeyto theSTOPpositiontoturnthetractor's
engineoff.
11. Turnthewateroffanddetachthehosecouplerfromthewater
portonyour deck'ssurface.
Aftercleaningyourdeck, returntotheoperator'spositionandengage
thePTO.Keepthe cuttingdeckrunningfor a minimumof two minutes,
allowingtheundersideof thecuttingdeckto thoroughlydry.
LUBRICATION
Beforelubricating,repairing,orinspecting,alwaysdisengagePTO,
set parkingbrake,stopengineandremovekeytopreventunintended
starting.
Front Wheels
Eachof thefrontwheelaxlesandrimsisequippedwitha grease
fitting.SeeFigure25.Lubricatewitha No.2 multi-purposegrease
appliedwitha greasegunafterevery25 hoursof tractoroperation.

Pivot Points & Linkage
Lubricateallthepivotpointsonthe drivesystem,parkingbrakeandlift
linkageatleastoncea seasonwithlightoil.
Deck Wheels
Eachof thetractordeck'sfrontgaugewheelsisequippedwitha
greasefitting.Lubricatewitha No.2 multi-purposegreaseappliedwith
a greasegunafterevery25 hoursoftractoroperation.
