FULL.Replacetheoilfill cap/dipstick.
Usedoilisahazardouswasteproduct.Disposeof usedoil properly.Donot
discardwith householdwaste.Checkwithyour localauthoritiesor orcontact
1-800-659-5917for a listof safedisposal/recyclingfacilities.
14. Startandruntheengine.Astheenginewarmsup,checkforoilleaks.
15. Stoptheengineandchecktheoil level.It shouldbeattheFULLmarkonthe
dipstick.
FuelFilter
Gasolineanditsvaporsareextremely flammableandexplosive.Fireor
explosioncancausesevereburnsordeath.
Keepgasolineawayfromsparks,openflames,pilot lights,heat,andother
ignitionsources.
Checkfuellines,tank,cap,andfittingsfrequentlyforcracksor leaks.Replace
ifnecessary.
Beforereplacingthefuelfilter, drainthefueltankaspertheinstructions
below.
Donotdrainfuelwhentheengineishot.Allowtheengineadequatetimeto
cool.Drainfuelintoanapprovedcontaineroutdoors,awayfromopenflame.
Drainanylargevolumeoffuelfromthetankbydisconnectingthefuelline
fromthe in-linefuelfilter neartheengine.
Removethefuellinefromthe In-lineside(sidetowardsthefueltank)ofthe
fuelfilter.
Replacementpartsmustbethesameandinstalledinthesamepositionas
theoriginalparts.
If fuelspills,wait untilit evaporatesbeforestartingengine.
Beforereplacingthefuelfilter,drainthefueltank.Otherwise,fuelcanleak
outandcauseafire orexplosion.
ToDrainthe fuel:
Locatethefuelfilter,seeFigure11,whichisroutedontheleft sideofthe
enginebetweenthefueltankandthecarburetor,andmaybeattachedtothe
enginewithatie strap.Cutthetiestrap,if present,thenpinchthetabsonthe
in-lineclamponthefuelfilterwith apairof pliers,slidetheclampupthefuel
line.Pullthefuellinefreefromthefilterandplacetheopenendofthelineinto
anapprovedcontainertodrainthefuel.
Tochangethe fuel filter:
1. Usepliersto squeezethetabsontheotherclamp(theout-linesideofthe
fuelfilter),thenslidetheclampawayfromthefuelfilter. Twistandpullthe
fuellineoffof thefuelfilter.SeeFigure13.

2. Checkthefuellinesforcracksorleaks.Replaceifnecessary.
3. Replacethefuelfilter withanoriginalequipmentreplacementfilter. Call
1-800-659-5917topurchasetheoriginalequipmentreplacementfilter.
4. Securethefuellineswith theclamps.
If filters, orcoversarenot installedcorrectlyseriousinjuryordeathcould
resultfrom backfire.Donot attempt to start the enginewith them removed
Donot usepressurizedair orsolventsto cleanthe aircleanercartridge.
