If thecuttingdeckappearsto bemowingunevenly,asideto sideadjustmentcanbe
performed.Adjustif necessaryasfollows:
1. Withthetractorparkedona firm, levelsurface,placethedecklift leverin
thesecondfromthetop notch(secondhighestposition)androtateboth
bladessothattheyareperpendicularwith thetractor.
2. Measurethedistancefromtheoutsideof theleft bladetip totheground
andthedistancefromtheoutsideoftheright bladetip to theground.Both
measurementstakenshouldbeequal.If they'renot,proceedtothenext
step.
3. Loosen,butdoNOTremove,thehexcapscrewontheleft deckhanger
bracket.SeeFigure23.
4. Balancethedeckby usingawrenchto turntheadjustmentgear(found
immediatelybehindthehexcapscrewjust loosened)clockwise/upor
counterclockwise/down.Thedeckisproperlybalancedwhenbothbladetip
measurementstakenearlierareequal.
Retightenthe hexcapscrewontheleft deckhangerbracketwhenproper
adjustmentisachieved.

ParkingBrakeAdjustment
Neverattempt to adjust the brakeswhile the engineisrunning.Always
disengagePTO(bladeengage)lever,moveshift leverinto neutral position,
stopengineand removekeyto preventunintended starting.
Ifthetractordoesnotcometo acompletestopwhenthebrakepedaliscompletely
depressed,or ifthetractor'srearwheelscanroll withthe parkingbrakeapplied,
thebrakeisinneedof adjustment.ContactthenearestSearsServiceCenterto have
