Section 3 - Conguration
From this screen, you can change the local network settings of the router and congure DHCP settings. If you have devices on
your network that must have a xed IP address, you can create a DHCP reservation. Refer to “DHCP Reservation” on page 51.
Network Settings
Enter the IP Address of the DIR-818LW. The default IP address
is 192.168.0.1.
If you change the IP address here, once you click Save Settings,
you must enter the new IP address in your browser to get back
into the router’s conguration utility.
Enter the Subnet Mask. The default subnet mask is
255.255.255.0.
Enter a name for the router.
Enter the Domain Name (Optional).
If you leave the box checked, your computers will use the
router’s built-in DNS server. Uncheck the box to transfer the
DNS server information from your ISP to your computers.
Click Save Settings.
