Installing the optical disk drive
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
NOTE:
Ensure that you note the routing of the cables as you remove them from the system board. Route the cable
properly when you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
NOTE: The optical disk drive is optional and is shipped with 8 x 3.5-inch backplane configuration.
Steps
1. Align and slide the optical disk drive into the optical disk drive slot on the system until it latches.
2. Connect the power cable and signal cable to the optical disk drive.
