NOTE: Move in clock-wise direction to connect the cables to the system board.
5. Align the screw holes on the Type-C bracket with the screw holes on the system board.
6. Replace the two (M2x4) screws that secures the Type-C bracket to the system board.
7. Open the latch and connect the display cable to the system board.
8. Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
9. Open the latch and connect the power-adapter port cable to the system board.
10. Replace the two (M2x2) screws that secures the left fan to the to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
11. Connect the left fan cable to the system board.
12. Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
13. Open the latch and connect the keyboard cable to the system board.
14. Open the latch and connect the keyboard-backlight cable to the system board.
15. Open the latch and connect the touchpad cable to the system board.
16. Connect the right fan cable to the system board.
17. Open the latch and connect the power-button cable to the USB board.
18. Route the display cable through the routing guides on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

Fan and heat-sink assembly
Removing the fan and heat-sink assembly
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
CAUTION:
For maximum cooling of the processor, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the heat sink. The
oils in your skin can reduce the heat transfer capability of the thermal grease.
NOTE: The heat sink may become hot during normal operation. Allow sufficient time for the heat sink to cool before you
touch it.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the rear cover.
5. Remove the solid-state drive.
6. Remove the wireless card.
7. Remove the memory module.
8. Remove the system board.
NOTE: System board can be removed with the fan and heat-sink assembly, I/O board, and USB board attached.
