INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
For optimum performance and to avoid malfunctions or dangerous situations, the location of the unit must meet the
following criteria:
• Maintain the minimum clearances as indicated in the diagram on the right.
• On the bracket the two screws on the right and left edges as well as at least four screws in the middle must be
secured to the wall. At least 2 of the screws on the bracket must be axed to wood or cement, the other four
holes may be fastened to the drywall using TOGGLER
® brand, SNAPTOGGLE® Heavy-Duty Toggle Bolts model
number BB or BBS in 1/4”. Do not use any other fastener.
• The anti-lift bracket must be fastened to a wood stud or other load bearing material. Alternatively, it may be
fastened to the drywall using TOGGLER
® brand, SNAPTOGGLE® Heavy-Duty Toggle Bolt model number BB or
BBS in 1/4”. Do not use any other fastener.
• When used exclusively to heat, avoid “high wall” installation in rooms where the ceiling is greater than 10 feet high.
• Make sure 1/8” of the of the pipe/sleeve extends into the room so that the unit will be tight against the pipe/sleeve.
• Make sure that inside the room nothing obstructs the air flow to the return air grille and the supply air louver.
• Make sure than on the outside nothing obstructs the louvers (plants and leaves, paneling, shutters, dense grates
or grids, etc.)
• The unit must be installed against an exterior wall or perpendicular to an outside wall using a special order Side
wall installation kit.
• Check that there are no structures or systems (beams, pillars, hydraulic pipes, electrical cables etc.) in the part of
the wall that must be drilled.
• Do not install the unit directly above another electrical appliance (TV, radio, fridge, etc.) or above a source of heat.
WARNING
EXCESSIVE WEIGHT HAZARD
Use two people when lifting and installing the unit. The unit is
unbalanced on the right (compressor side) Failure to do can result in
back or other injury.
