You can connect an external monitor to the analogue VGA monitor connection of the

► Switch off the notebo ok and the e xternal monitor.
► Connect th e data cable of the external monitor to the monitor port of the notebook.
► First switch on t he external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also use a key combination to switch back and forth between the externa l
monitor and the notebook’s LCD screen, see c hapter "
Key combinations", Page 23.
You can display the same picture on the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.

The HDMI p ort on your notebook can b e used to connect an external ampli fier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device.
► Connect the data cable to the HDMI
port of the notebook.
