Important Safety Instructions
3D Viewing
With 3D viewing technology, images taken from
slightly different positions are pulsed in very fast
sequence into each eye, creating an illusion
of depth if viewed with the special glasses that
are supplied with this TV set. It is important to
wear these glasses when viewing in 3D mode
as otherwise the 3D images will appear blurry
and colours out of alignment. If you normally
wear glasses, just fit the 3D glasses over your
prescription glasses.
CAUTION:
Wearing of 3D glasses for an extended time
may cause a headache, fatigue or dizziness in
certain people.
If you are concerned about these potential
effects of 3D viewing, avoid prolonged viewing
and use your own judgment to avoid eye strain
and/or headache or dizziness.
If your eyes show signs of fatigue or dryness,
stop 3D viewing and rest. Do not resume
3D viewing for at least 30 minutes after the
symptoms have subsided.
If you experience a headache, nausea,
dizziness or feel slightly disoriented while
viewing 3D, take frequent breaks or stop
watching and rest to lessen the potential of
these effects. Alternatively, take off the glasses
and continue normal viewing in 2D mode.
Consult your doctor, paediatrician or eye
specialist before allowing children under age 6
to watch 3D images.
Only allow older children to view 3D images
under adult supervision, and limit their viewing
time.
To ensure comfortable 3D viewing:
Make sure to wear the specially supplied 3D
glasses.
Make sure all 3D settings are appropriately set
on the TV (see pages 25-26 for details).
Sit at a comfortable distance away from the
screen. We recommend keeping a distance of
at least three times the height of the TV screen,
and installing the screen so your eyes are level
with the screen.
Limit your viewing time to 1 hour. For longer
movies, take a break of 10-15 minutes every
hour.
Block direct sunlight from your viewing area
and switch off any fluorescent lighting nearby.
Position the TV Set
Place the TV on a firm and flat surface, leaving
a space of at least 10cm around the TV set and
30cm from the top of the TV set to the wall or
cabinet.
• Place the TV set where it cannot be pulled, pushed
or knocked over.
