Front Wheel Removal
Servicing Your Honda
Wheels
Rotate the wheel slowly to see if it appears
to ‘‘wobble.’’ If it does, the rim is out of
round or not ‘‘true.’ If the wobble is
noticeable, see your Honda dealer for
inspection.
Removal
Raise the front wheel off the ground by
placing a maintenance stand or support block
under the engine. Secure the rear of the
motorcycle with tie-down straps.
Remove the front axle holder nuts ( ) and
the front axle holder ( ).
Unscrew and remove the axle ( ). Remove
the wheel.
Avoid depressing the brake lever and brake
pedal when the wheel is off the motorcycle.
This will force the caliper pistons out of the
cylinders. The result will be loss of brake
fluid. If this occurs, the brake system will
require service. See your Honda dealer for
this service.
Remove the tripmeter cable set screw ( )
and disconnect the tripmeter cable ( ).
