4. METER HARNESS A [EQUIPPED TYPE ONLY]
a. REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1) Remove the six 5 x 12 mm screws, and remove the under cover from the tiller handle assembly.
2) Remove the grommet from the tiller handle assembly and remove the meter harness A from the grommet.
3) Remove the harness band clip that clamps the 40 mm cord tube from the connector bracket (P. 16-10).
4) Remove the 6 x 12 mm flange bolt from the connector bracket and remove the harness and the connector bracket as
a set from the tiller handle assembly (P. 16-11).
Remove the harness band clip, which clamps the tube A and meter harness A from the connector bracket (P. 16-11).
5) Open the harness band clip that clamps the 40 mm cord tube.
Replace the harness band clip with a new one on reassembly.
Remove all the connectors from the 40 mm cord tube and disconnect the four meter harness connectors.
6) Open the harness band clip that clamps the tube A and meter harness A.
Replace the harness band clip with a new one on reassembly.
Installation is the reverse order of removal.
