BEFORE OPERATION
Check the Engine
• Before each use, look around and underneath the engine for signs of
oil or gasoline leaks.
• Check the engine oil level (see page 54). A low engine oil level will
cause the Oil Alert system to shut down the engine.
• Check the air filters (see page 57). Dirty air filters will restrict air flow
to the fuel system, reducing engine and generator performance.
• Check the fuel level (see page 52). Starting with a full tank will help
to eliminate or reduce operating interruptions for refueling.
Battery Maintenance Cover
Never operate the generator with the battery maintenance cover open,
as poor engine and generator performance will result.
