SPARK ARRESTER SERVICE
If the engine has been running, the muffler will be very hot. Allow the
muffler to cool before servicing the spark arrester.
1.Remove the two 5×16 mm pan head screws, and remove the tail
pipe and spark arrester.
2.Use a brush to remove carbon deposits from the spark arrester
screen.
Be careful to avoid damaging the screen.
The spark arrester must be free of breaks and tears. Replace the
spark arrester if it is damaged.
3.Install the spark arrester in the reverse order of removal.
