3. ,Emergency Starting
If the recoil starter is not working properly, the engine can be started with
the, spare starter rope in the tool kit.
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the recoil starter by re-
moving the three 6 mm bolts.
3. Disconnect the neutral starter ca-
ble.
4. Wind the spare rope clockwise
around the pulley to start the
engine.
CAUTION: Keep clear of moving
parts.
5. Reinstall the engine cover.
