The
instrument
can
be
stored
or
shipped at temperatures
between
-40
0
C and 75
0
C.
The
instrument
should
be
protected
from
temperature
extremes
which
cause
condensation
within
the
instrument.

If
the
instrument
is
to
be
shipped
to
a Hewlett-Packard
Sales/Service
Office,
attach a
tag
showing
owner,
return
address,
model
number
and
full
serial
number
and the
type
of
service
required. The original shipping
carton
and packaging material
may
be
re
-usable
but
the Hewlett-Packard Sales /Service
office
will
also
provide
information
and
recommendations
on
materials
to
be
used
if
the original packing
is
not
available
or
re-usable.
General
instructions
for
re-packing are
as
follows:
1. Wrap
instrument
in heavy paper
or
plastic.
2.
Use
strong shipping
container.
A
double
wall
carton
made
of
350-pound
test material
is
adequate.
3.
Use
enough shock-absorbing material (3
to
4-inch
layer)
around
all sides
of
instrument
to
provide
firm
cushion and
prevent
movement
inside
container.
Protect
control
panel
with
cardboard.
4. Seal shipping
container
securely.
5.
