Troubleshooting
Expansion Cards
For more information on expansion cards, refer to Chapter 7,
“Expansion Cards.”
Problem Solution
I cannot get my
HP iPAQ
to recognize the
expansion card.
■ Be sure you have inserted the appropriate card into the
appropriate slot.
■ Be sure you have firmly pushed the expansion card
down into the card slot of the HP iPAQ.
■ Be sure you have installed the drivers that came with
the expansion card.
I cannot insert
my card.
■ Be sure the label is facing the front of the HP iPAQ.
■ Be sure you are not inserting the card at an angle.
■ Be sure you have inserted the connection area first.
I cannot remove
my SD card.
To release the locking mechanism, you must first push in the
SD card. The card pops out slightly and is then easily
removed.
My HP iPAQ
cannot
recognize
my card.
■ Be sure you have installed the drivers that came with
the expansion card you purchased.
■ Perform a normal reset of the HP iPAQ by using the
stylus to briefly press the Reset button.
