Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34).
Remove the battery:
1. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the battery to the computer.
2. Remove the battery from the computer (2).
To remove the battery on models equipped with GTX graphics:
1. Disconnect the battery cable (1).
2. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) that secure the battery to the computer.
