Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34), and then remove the following components:
a. Battery (see Battery on page 37)
b. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 54)
c. Fan (see Fan(s) on page 65)
d. System board (see System board on page 70)
Remove the speakers:
1. Release the cable from the retention clips and routing channel built into the right speaker (1).
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screw (2) that secures the right speaker to the computer.
3. Lift the speakers up (3).
4. Release the speaker cable from the retention clips and routing channel built into the computer (4).
On models equipped with GTX graphics, follow these steps:
1. Release the cable from the retention clips and routing channel built into the right speaker (1).
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screw (2) that secures the right speaker to the computer.
