– If the preceding licenses do not exist, you do not need to perform any operation on
the license.
l You may need to upgrade software during the replacement. Therefore, obtain the latest
software of the switch module to be replaced at the Huawei technical support website
before the replacement.
l If the switch module to be replaced is CX710:
a. Run the following command on the CLI of the 40GE converged switching plane to
check the current version of the 40GE converged switching plane:

b. Confirm the PCB version of the CX710.
n If PCB Version is VER A, continue to replace the switch module.
n If PCB Version is VER B, the CPLD software cannot be rolled back to
version 0.08 or 0.09.
