Defect in radiator fan system – Check fuse 3.
– Check the radiator fan.
Malfunction indicator lamp lights up
or flashes
Defect in fuel injection system – Stop the motorcycle and identify the faulty
part using the blink code.
– Check the cabling for damage and the electri-
cal plug-in connectors for corrosion and dam-
age.
– Read out the fault memory using the Husq-
varna Motorcycles diagnostics tool.
High oil consumption Engine vent hose bent – Route the vent hose without bends or replace
it if necessary.
Engine oil level too high – Check the engine oil level. ( p. 102)
Engine oil too thin (low viscosity) – Change the engine oil and oil filter and clean
the oil screens. ( p. 103)
Piston and cylinder worn – Measure the piston/cylinder mounting clear-
ance.
Battery discharged Battery is not being charged by alter-
nator
– Check the charging voltage.
– Check the stator winding of the alternator.
Undesired power consumer – Check the closed current.
Speedometer values deleted (time,
stop watch, lap times)
The battery in the speedometer is
discharged
– Change the speedometer battery. ( p. 92)
The high beam, low beam, tail light,
