You can insert the diskette with the file in to drive B: and
type this for step 2:
dir b:fact&fig
Now press the Enter key.
See, the only difference is
that you have to tell DOS
where (what drive) the file
is.
For You to Try
Use DIR to list the directory information about the file
called CIRCLE.BAS on your DOS Diskette. Did
it work
right?
Try it again leaving
off the extension (.BAS). See the
difference?
