The 8231-E2D server provides cable connector locations for the following enclosures:
v Support for expansion units, as shown in the following figure, is as follows:
– The C1 slot must contain the system power control network (SPCN) card, and the C8 slot must
contain the card with two 12X double data rate (DDR) cable ports.
Note: Installing the 12X DDR cable ports at this location causes both the C8 and C6 slot space to be
occupied.
– The server cannot support both 12X DDR cable ports and PCIe cable ports at the same time.
– The server contains a serial-attached SCSI (SAS) port.
