2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and
external devices; then, remove the cover (see “Removing the cover” on page
126).
3. Slide the tray until it snaps into position in the chassis.
4. Reinstall the cover (see “Replacing the cover” on page 127).
5. Slide the server into the rack.
6. Reconnect the power cords and all external cables, and turn on the server and
peripheral devices.
Removing the EIA bracket
Use this information to remove the EIA bracket.
About this task
To remove the EIA bracket, complete the following steps:
Procedure
1. Read the safety information that begins on “Safety” on page vii and
“Installation guidelines” on page 122.
2. If necessary, turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the
power cords and all external cables.
3. If the server has been installed in a rack, slide the server out from the rack
enclosure.
4. Remove the screws from the EIA bracket.
