- temperature between 9 and 12 ° C (48 - 54 °F):
every hour
- temperature between 6 and 9 ° C (42 - 48 °F):
every 30 minutes
- temperatures at or below 6 ° C (42 °F):
every 15 minutes
NOTES
- If the temperature of the compartment drops rapidly, the frequen-
cy of activation increases.
- If it becomes necessary to turn on the anti-freeze protection during
the ltering or rapid ltering (“Boost”) cycles, those cycles will be sus-
pended and they will resume when the anti-freeze cycle is complete.
- If it is necessary to perform an anti-freeze cycle while a function
activated by the user is in progress, the cycle will be activated 15
minutes after the end of the function.
- If this protection is active, the spotlight may still be turned on.
Water ltering
The water needs to be ltered to keep it clean, clear and inviting. The
pump runs the water through a cartridge lter in the skimmer (see
the chapter on “Maintenance of cartridge lter”). This operation
takes place based on a cycle during the day (ltering cycle) which
repeats every 24 hours.
Some models are also equipped with a special type of fast lter-
ing (“boost”), which diers from the normal cycle due to its brief,
intense duration.
NOTE: in some models, the pump has two speeds: a low
speed used for water circulation and ltration, and a higher
speed to activate the hydromassage jets (in the remaining
models, there is a pump dedicated to this function, the lter-
ing pump).
Setting the ltering cycles
To set the ltering cycle:
XPress the “Light”
key and hold it down for about 5 sec-
onds. The display will show the message dx, where “x” indicates
the duration in hours.
XUse the key “Up/Down”
to enter the desired duration,
from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 12 hours.
NOTE: hold the key down until you reach the desired value. If the
display is equipped with two separate keys, press the key “Up” to
increase the value or the key “Down” to decrease it.
XPressing the “Light”
key again conrms the selected val-
ue and then continues with the programming of the start delay,
with respect to the “0” time, of the cycle (parameter sy, where
“y” indicates the number of hours).
ATTENTION: the time “0” is the moment at which the hot tub is
powered on using the main switch, or the moment at which the
parameters are memorized. for example, you set as the cycle start
delay to “4”, it means that ltering will start 4 hours after you turn
on the hot tub, or after memorization of said parameters.
It is also possible to reduce the value of parameter “s” to ). In this
case the ltering cycle will start immediately.
XSet the start delay (from a minimum of 9 to a maximum of 23) us-
ing the key “Up/Down”
and conrm using the “Light” key
to save the entered value and exit from the programming mode.
When this function is active, the LED of the respective symbol
will turn on. If the LED is blinking, it means that the cycle has been
suspended, see the relative chapter for more information.
NOTES
The factory settings are the following:
- cycle duration: 2 hours.
- start delay compared to time “0”: 40 minutes.
If no programming is performed, every 24 hours a 2 hour ltering
cycle is performed in any case, and will start 40 minutes after the
hot tub is turned on.
If there is a power outage, the data in the memory is saved, but
the time “0” will become the moment at which the electricity comes
back on. Therefore, it may be necessary to turn the main switch up
the line from the hot tub o and back on to re-align the cycle start
delay with the memorized parameters.
It is possible to vary the ltering cycle setting parameters at
any time by following the procedure provided at the beginning
of this chapter. By modifying these parameters, time “0” is
“shifted” to the time in which the new values are saved.
Suspending the ltering cycles
XIn versions with a 2-speed pump, the ltering cycle is stopped
when the hydromassage switches on . But it will restart again
from the point in which it stopped 40 minutes after the function
is switched o. This means that if at the moment of interruption
1 hour remained until the end of the cycle, when it restarts, it will
continue for this period of time and will then stop.
XThe ltering cycle may be suspended by the anti-freeze pro-
tection (“Smart Winter”) or due to overheated water. Refer to the
respective chapters.
XIf the system is in standby mode (see related chapter), the l-
tering pump stops and is restarted when the system is no longer
in standby mode.
Overheating during ltering cycles
During the ltering cycle, if the water temperature exceeds the
set point by more than 1 °C (2 °F) (see the chapter “Setting the water
heating temperature”) and it does not decrease at least 1 °C (2 °F) in
the following 3 hours, the cycle will be suspended until the tempera-
ture does not decrease by at least 1 °C (2 °F) below the set point value.
Even if the water temperature is high (due to excessive sun-
light, for example), ltering is ensured for at least 3 hours.
Clearray™ (optional).
The Clearray™ helps oxidize the organic substances that inl-
trate the water, and therefore reduces the need for chemical prod-
ucts for water treatment.
