The tire's date of manufacture is usually part of the tire markings and is indi-
cated by the last four digits of the DOT marking. The first two digits refer to the
week of manufacture and last two digits refer to the year of manufacture.
KTM recommends that the tires be changed after 5 years at the latest, regard-
less of the actual state of wear.
» If a tire is more than five years old:
Change the tires.
9.40Checking the tire air pressure

Low tire air pressure leads to abnormal wear and overheating of the tire.
Correct tire air pressure ensures optimal riding comfort and maximum tire service life.

Remove the dust cap.
Check the tire air pressure when the tires are cold.

Front 2.4 bar (35 psi)
Rear 2.4 bar (35 psi)
Tire air pressure with passenger/full payload
Front 2.4 bar (35 psi)
Rear 2.6 bar (38 psi)
» If the tire pressure does not meet specifications:
Correct the tire pressure.
