– Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a horizontal position.
– Check the brake fluid level in the viewer .
» When the brake fluid level has dropped below the bottom of the viewer:

Warning
Danger of accidents Brake system failure.
– If the brake fluid level falls below the bottom of the viewer, this indicates a leakage in the brake system or worn-out brake lin-
ings. Have the brake system checked in an authorized KTM workshop, and do not ride any further.
Warning
Skin irritation Brake fluid can cause skin irritation on contact.
– Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep out of the reach of children.
– Wear suitable protective clothing and goggles.
– If brake fluid gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and contact a doctor immediately.
Warning
Danger of accidents Reduced braking due to old brake fluid.
– Change the brake fluid of the front and rear brakes according to the service schedule. (Your authorized KTM workshop will be
glad to help.)
