– Remove screws 3 on the right fork leg. Take off the fork protector.

– Position the fork protection on the right fork leg. Mount and tighten screws 1.
Guideline
Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)

– Position the fork protection on the left fork leg. Mount and tighten screws 2.
Guideline
Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Position the brake line, wiring harness, and clamp. Mount and tighten screws 3.
11.9 Removing the lower triple clamp x
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. ( p. 32)

Remove the front wheel. x ( p. 62)

Remove the fork legs. x ( p. 33)
– Remove the start number plate. ( p. 39)
– Remove the front fender. ( p. 39)

Main work
– Remove fuel tank breather 1.
– Remove nut 2. Remove screw 3, take off the upper triple clamp with the handle-
bar and set it aside.
Info
Protect the motorcycle and its attachments against damage by covering
them.
Do not bend the cables and lines.

– Remove protective ring 4.
– Take out the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Take out the upper steering head bearing.
