11.18 Removing the shock absorber x
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. ( p. 32)

Main work
– Remove screw 1 and lower the rear wheel with the swingarm as far as possible
without blocking the rear wheel. Fix the rear wheel in this position.
– Remove screw 2, push splash protector 3 to the side, and remove the shock
absorber.
11.19 Installing the shock absorber x

Main work
– Push splash protector 1 to the side and position the shock absorber. Mount and
tighten screw 2.

Finishing work
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 32)
11.20 Removing the seat

– Remove screw 1. Lift up the seat at the rear, pull it back and then remove it from
above.
11.21 Mounting the seat

– Hook in the front of the seat at the collar bushing of the fuel tank, lower it at the
rear and simultaneously push it forward.
– Make sure that the seat is correctly locked in.
