OPERATION

GENERAL PREPARATION
1. Ensure that the driveline is properly
connected.
2. Make sure the broom operates freely.
3. Ensure that the hydraulic hoses are
properly connected.
4. Make sure the parking stands are
positioned so they do not touch the ground.
5. Make sure the cylinder of the L2180-1
subframe is attached in the lower hole of
the subframe male quick hitch
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury:
Do not allow bystanders near working
area.
Do not allow anyone to ride on rotary
broom or quick hitch.
Before cleaning, adjusting or repairing
the rotary broom: bring the tractor to a
complete stop, wait for all movement to
stop, apply parking brake, shut off the
engine and remove the ignition key.
Never put any part of your body under
the rotary broom while making
adjustments.
PTO Operation
The PTO engagement lever is located on the
right side of the driver's seat. The PTO is
engaged by moving the lever rearward.
Raising and Lowering the Broom
The hydraulic lift lever is located on the right
side of the tractor's steering wheel.
To raise the broom, pull the lever to the rear
and to lower the broom, push the lever forward.
NOTE
: The L and GL Series tractors use
double action lift cylinders so it's important to
place the cylinder in the float position when
using the broom. To do so, push the lever
completely to the front
Angling Adjustment
(Figure 11)
1. Push on the lever (item 1) to release the
adjustment plate (item 3) from the
adjustment pin (item 2).
2. Move the side of the broom (item 4) in the
desired direction and release the lever
(item 1). Move until one of the adjustment
plate holes (item 3) connects with the
adjustment pin (item 2).
NOTE
: The space between each adjustment
plate hole (item 3) represents 12.5°.
CAUTION: Engage the broom only
when the engine is running at low RPM and
that the brush is raised from the ground. Once
the broom is engaged, lower the brush to the
ground and slowly increase engine RPM.
