59PERIODIC SERVICE
A Do not wash a paper-element. Do not oil a paper-
element. Do not use pressurized air to clean a paper-
element, as this will damage the element. Replace a
dirty, bent, or damaged element with a genuine
KUBOTA element. Handle new elements carefully; do
not use if the sealing surfaces are bent or damaged.
4. When servicing the air cleaner, check the air cleaner
base. Make sure it is secured and not bent or
damaged. Also, check the element cover for damage
or improper fit. Replace all damaged air cleaner
components.
A If any loose dirt or debris fell on the air cleaner base
when the element was removed, carefully remove it
and wipe the base clean. Be careful that none of it
drops into the intake throat. Check the condition of the
rubber seal on the air cleaner stud. If the condition is
questionable in any way, replace it with the new seal
packaged with the replacement element.
5. Reinstall the paper element, precleaner, element
cover, element cover nut, and air cleaner cover.
Secure cover with the cover retaining knob.
6. When element replacement is necessary, order
genuine KUBOTA parts.
BCleaning Engine Shroud Panel
[GR2020G]
Consult your local KUBOTA for this service.
BChecking Fuel Lines, Fuel Vapor Lines
and Fuel Filter
To avoid serious injury:
A Be sure to stop the engine and remove the key
when attempting to make the following checks
and changes.
A Never fail to check the fuel lines and fuel vapor
lines periodically. The fuel lines and fuel vapor
lines are subject to wear and aging. Fuel may
leak out onto the running engine, causing a
fire.
A Only for GR2020G, check the fuel vapor lines.
The fuel line and fuel vapor line connections should be
checked annually or every 100 service hours, whichever
comes first.
1. The fuel line and fuel vapor line are made of rubber
and ages regardless of service period.
2. If the fuel line, fuel vapor line and clamps are found to
be damaged or deteriorated, replace them.
3. Check fuel filter, if it is clogged by debris or
contaminated with water, replace it.
A When the fuel line and fuel vapor line are disconnected
for maintenance or repair, close both ends of the fuel
line and fuel vapor line with a piece of clean cloth or
paper to prevent dust and dirt from entering. In
addition, particular care must be taken not to admit
dust and dirt into the fuel pump. Entrance of even a
small amount dust or dirt cause premature wear and
malfunction of the fuel pump.
