3. Throttle lever and choke knob

Set the throttle lever as follows.
• If the engine is cold:
Place the throttle lever to the “CHOKE” position.
• If the engine is warm:
Place the throttle lever midway between the
“SLOW” and the “FAST” positions.

• Pull the throttle lever downward to decrease the
engine speed.
• Push it upward to increase the engine speed.
Always pull the choke knob out to the “ON” position to
start the engine in cold conditions.
Always push choke knob in to the “OFF” position after
the engine has started.

(B) Push in: “OFF” position
(C) “FAST”
(D) “SLOW”
4. Key switch
IMPORTANT :
• To avoid damage to the starter, do not operate
starter more than 5 seconds at a time. If engine
does not start, wait 10 seconds before trying
again.
• Do not turn the key to the “START” position
while the engine is running.
• Do not operate the machine under full load
condition until it is sufficiently warmed up 2 or 3
minutes for temperatures above 0 ℃ (32 ℉).
