BATTERY TROUBLESHOOTING

The starter does not function. • Battery overuse, dim

The starter does not function from the
beginning, and lights soon become dim.
• Insufficient charging. • Charge the battery
sufficiently.
• The battery must be serviced prop-
erly before initial use.
When viewed from the top, the top of the
plates look whitish.
• The battery was used
with an insufficient
amount of electrolyte.
• Add distilled water
and charge the bat-
tery.
• Regularly check the electrolyte lev-
el.
• The battery was used
too much without re-
charging.
• Charge the battery
sufficiently.
• Charge the battery properly.
Recharging is impossible. • The battery life has
expired.
• Replace the battery.
Terminals are severely corroded and
heated up.
• Poor terminal con-
nection.
• Clean the terminal
and tighten securely.
• Keep the terminal clean and tight.
Apply grease and treat with anti-cor-

The battery electrolyte level drops rapid-
ly.
• There is a crack or
pin holes in the elec-
trolytic cells.
