MAINTENANCE
Battery removal & installation
The battery is in a compartment below the scooter’s floorboard
mat. To remove the battery for service, follow this procedure:
NOTE: Always keep the ignition switch OFF when servic-
ing the battery. See your KYMCO dealer for electrical
system diagnosis and repair.
2. When removing the battery for charging or replacement, dis-
connect the negative (-) terminal lead 3 from the battery
first, then disconnect the positive (+) terminal lead 4.
3. Remove the battery.
1. Make sure the ignition switch is “OFF - ”. Remove the
two cover screws 1 and remove the battery cover.

4. Use a charger specically designed for a maintence-free
type battery. Unsing another type of battery charger may
damage the battery and prevent it from becoming fully
charged.
5. When installing the battery, connect the positive(+) termi-
nal lead 4 first, then the negative (-) terminal lead 3.
6. Replace the battery cover 2 and screws.
