Youcanattachamechanicallocktoyourcomputertohelppreventitfrombeingremovedwithoutyour
permission.

password,apromptisdisplayedonthescreeneachtimeyouturnonthecomputer.Enteryourpasswordat
theprompt.Youcannotusethecomputerunlessyouenterthevalidpassword.
Passwordsandsleepmode
Ifyouhavesetpasswordsandyouputyourcomputerintosleepmode,theprocedureforresuming
operationisasfollows:
•Youarenotpromptedtotypethepasswordwhenresumingoperation.
•Ifanyharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivehasapassword,itisunlockedautomaticallywhenyouresume
operation.
