Adjusting air vents in the roof air duct
In vehicles with a rear air conditioning system,
adjus
table air vents have been integrated in the
roof air duct.

Very hot or very cold air can ow from the air
vents.

Make sure that all vehicle occupants

ays maintain a sucient distance
from the air vents.

If necessary, direct the airow to another
area of the vehicle interior.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, there will be
an air duct or a heat
er with additional air vents in
the rear footwell on the le-hand side 1. No
objects may be placed there. Occupants must
maintain a sucient distance due to the warm air
ow and air intake.

If the tailpipe is blocked or sucient v
entilation
is not possible, poisonous exhaust gases such
as carbon monoxide may enter the vehicle.
This is the case in enclosed spaces or if the
vehicle gets stuck in snow, for example.

Always switch the stationary heater o in
enclosed spaces wit
hout an air extrac-
tion system, e.g. in garages.

Keep the tailpipe and the area around the

ehicle free from snow when the engine
or the stationary heater is running.

Open a window on the side of the vehicle

acing away from the wind to ensure an
adequate supply of fresh air.
