If children are le unsupervised in the vehicle,
they could, in particular:

open doors, thereby endangering other
persons or road users.

get out and be struck by oncoming trac.

operate vehicle equipment and become
trapped, for example.
In addition, the children could also set the
vehicle in motion, for example by:

releasing the parking brake.
R
changing the transmission position.
R
starting the vehicle.

Never leave children unattended in the
vehicle.

When leaving the vehicle, always take the

the vehicle
If you leave animals in the vehicle unattended
or unsecured, they could possibly press but-
tons or switches.
An animal may:

Activate vehicle equipment and become
trapped, for example

Switch systems on or o and endanger
other road users
Unsecured animals may be thrown around in
the vehicle in the event of an accident or sud-
den steering and braking maneuvers and injure
vehicle occupants in the process.

Never leave animals in the vehicle unat-

ended.

Always correctly secure animals while
dr
iving, e.g. using a suitable animal car-
rier.
Requirements:

ey is in detection range of the antenna
(/ page 46) and the key battery is not dis-
charged.

In addition, the following applies for vehicles
with a reduced detection range: The key is
located in the key holder provided in the driv-
er's cup holder (/ page 79).

Remote engine start may not be available in all
Spr
inter models. The availability of the func-
tion for the Sprinter depends on the services
oered by "Mercedes me".
Ensure the following before starting the engine:

The leg
al stipulations in the area where your
vehicle is parked allow engine starting by
smartphone.
R
It is safe to start and run the engine where
your vehicle is parked.
R
The fuel tank is suciently lled.
R
The starter battery is suciently charged.
