Use DX-coded 35mm film (IS0100,200,400 or 1000). The film
speed is set automatically. With non DX-coded
film,
film speed
is
set
at ISO
100.
1 Open the camera back in the direction of the arrow.
2 Insert the film cartridge in the direction shown in the figure,
putting the bottom part in first.
3 Pull the film leader across a few centimeters, align
it
with the
yellow film mark, just beyond the film take-up spool, and set
it
in the film guides. Ensure that the film is not slack.
4 Close the camera back until it
clicks.
The film is then
advanced to the first
frame.
Be sure to turn the power ON and
check that
"1"
appears in the frame counter after loading the
film.
Should the "E" sign blink in the frame counter when the power
is
switched ON, open the camera back again and adjust the film
correctly.
With non DX-coded
film,
an unblinking "E" sign appears in the
frame counter.
Note:
When
loading the
film,
avoid exposure to direct sunlight by
moving into the shade.
