1.2 Specifications
Properties of
the UC50
The UC50 is a very high-resolution CCD color camera used for biomedical and
material sciences applications. It was specially developed for acquisitions using light
microscopy.
The UC50 is of a compact design and can be connected to all common types of light
microscope by a C-mount. Its high dynamic range enables it to acquire images
which have both very light and very dark areas. The ICC profile technology guaran-
tees an optimal color mapping.
Binning modes
The UC50 has several binning modes. In binning mode, the camera's CCD sensor
combines neighboring pixels into pixel blocks. This results in a higher sensitivity and
a shorter processing time but also in a lower resolution.
