GENERAL
3.1
Operating with the infrared system remote control
B201
The REVOX 8261 tuner can also be operated with an
infrared
system
remote
control
which requires no wire
connection.
The
center section of the remote control box is used for controlling
the tuner.
The REVOX
8201 is designed
for the
remote control of
a com-
plete
REVOX Hi-Fi chain
(tuner
amplifiel cassette/tape
recor-
del turntable).
For detailed
information
please
consult the
oper-
ating
instructions of
the 8201
remote control unit.
3.1.1
Remote control
facilities
Switching the
tuner on:
Press
+10/ON
(the
last
tuned station
is recalled).
or
Press one of the
keys
1
through
'10
(the
station
programmed
for
this
key
number is activated).
Press
one
of the
keys
1
through
10
and the
key
+1OiON for
activating stations 11
through 20.
or
Press

. The
next lower or higher station
is
acti-
vated.
starting
from
the last tuned station.
lf
either
key is held down
continously, all
programmed
sta-
tions are
consecutively
activated in the corresponding
sequence and can be
heard for a short time.
Switching the tuner
off:
Press
POWER OFF
(lower
right corner) to switch
the re-
motely controlled units
off.
The tuner acknowledges
a received command
with a flashing
DTRECT
LED
[11].
3.2
CAL TONE
[18]
When this button
is
pressed,
the
(400H2)
signal of
the built-in
test oscillator
is
connected to
the
tuner outputs.
The
signal
level
is
-6
dB relative to the maximum usef ul deviation of a stereo
sta-
tion
(67.5
kHz). ln conjunction
with
the level meter of the
REVOX
8251 amplifier it is
possible
to measure the
deviation
of a station
by
means of comparison.
With thrs
built-in oscillator
it is also
possible
to
calibrate a direct-
ly connected
tape recorder to
0dB
level.
3.3
HEADPHONES
connection
Headphones
with
a
6.3
mm
(0.25")
jack
plug
can be
connected
to the front-panel
socket
[24]
(impedance
200
to
600
ohms).
The
volume is
adjustable
with
the adjacent
potentiometer
[22].
