KEVBOARD SPLIT
This function allows vou to divide
(or split) the kevboard into two
sections: the Upper section (right
side) and the Lower section (left
side).
The left side of the kevboard can be
used in one of two modes:
a) ARRANGER (Control of the
arrangements)
b) LOWER
in either mode, the left part of the
keyboard can be played together
with the right (UP1/UP2) section.
When you select the ARRANGER
mode, each note or chord played in
the Arranger section (left side) of
the keyboard is used to control the
selected Music Style.
To select one of the four available
combinations, press the
corresponding button (17/18/19).
Pay attention to the LEDs which
indicate the selected mode. (Refer
to the diagram.)
If the LOWER indicator lights and
the keyboard is split into Lower (left
side) and Upper (right side), it is
possible to play two different Tones:
one Tone in the Lower section and
the other in the Upper section.
TONE VARIATIONS
A number of the E-38’s Tones have
what we call ‘Variations’. These are
sounds which are similar to a given
“main” Tone. (For a complete list of
sounds, please refer to TONES and
VARIATIONS on page 92.)
To select a Tone Variation:
Example: To select the second
Variation of ‘Piano 1’ (A11).
a) Select ‘Piano 1’ (A11) so that the
display reads ‘ A 11’.

kônnen Sie das Manual in zwei
Halften teilen: die Upper-Sektion
(rechts) und die Lower-Sektion
(links).
Die linke Manualhälfte bietet zwei
Betriebsarten:
a) ARRANGER (Begleitautomatik)
b) LOWER

Wenn Sie den ARRANGER-Betrieb
anwählen, wertet die
Begleitautomatik die links des
Splitpunktes gespielten Akkorde aus
und wandelt sie um in eine
musikalisch schlüssige Begleitung
(Music Style).
Um eine der vier möglichen
Kombination anzuwählen, müssen
Sie den betreffende Taster (17/18/19)
drücken. Achten Sie dabei auf die
dazugehörigen LEDs, die jeweils den
gewählten Modus anzeigen. (Siehe
außerdem die Zeichnung.)
Wenn die LOWER-LED bei
aktivierter Split-Funktion (also bei
eingeschalteter Lower- und Upper-
Sektion) leuchtet, können Sie zwei
Klänge gleichzeitig spielen: einen mit
der linken Hand und einen weiteren
mit der rechten Hand.
KLANGVARIATIONEN
Einige Klänge des E-38 besitzen
Klangvariationen, die den
Hauptklängen ähneln oder
zumindest zur selben Familie
gehören; eine Übersicht dieser
Variationen finden Sie auf Seite 92.
Anwahl einer Klangvariation
Beispiel: Anwahl der zweiten
Variation von Piano 1 (А11):
a) Wählen Sie den Klang “A-11”;
dieser wird im Displav angezeigt.

Le clavier peut étre divisċ en
deux sections différentes: une
située sur le côté gauche et
Vautre sur le cété droit.
Deux modes de fonctionnement
peuvent étre sélectionnés pour
la partie gauche:
a) ARRANGER
(commande de l'arrangeur)
b) LOWER
Dans les deux modes de
fonctionnement, la partie gauche
du clavier peut jouer simultanément
avec la partie droite UP1/UP2
du clavier.
Quand le mode ARRANGER (19)
est sélectionné, chaque accord
joué en partie gauche du clavier
sert d'information d'accord pour
obtenir l'accompagnement dans
le style voulu.
Pour sélectionner les différentes
combinaisons disponibles, utilisez
les boutons (17, 18, 19) et regardez
les dessins, en observant bien les
diodes allumées.
Si la diode LOWER (18) est allumée,
le clavier est divisé en zone Lower
(sur la gauche) et zone Upper (sur
la droite). Par conséquent, il est
possible de jouer de deux sons
différentes, le son Upper sur la
droite et le son Lower sur la gauche.
VARIATIONS DES SONS
Certaines variations de sons sont
disponibles (veuillez vous référer
au tableau des sons et variations
en page 92).
Comment sélectionner un variation
de son: Ex: pour choisir la deuxiéme
variation du son A11=Piano 1:
a) Sélectionnez le son A11=Piano
1 et le mot А11 apparaîtra dans
l'afficheur.
