d) Press a button (1-8) in the TONE
select section (37) to choose the
Tone number.
The displav will indicate vour Tone
selection (Group/Bank/Number)
until vou select another one or
select a different function.
To select Variations for the Lower
Tone, use the same procedure as
described under “Tone Variations”.
UPPER 1/2 TONE SELECTION
Whenever the instrument is turned
on, the Upper Mode is selected for
the right side of the keyboard and
the selected Tone will be ‘A 11’=
Piano 1.
a) Press one of the SELECT buttons
(23) in the TONE section so that the
SELECT UP1 or SELECT UP 2 LED
lights. This selects the Upper mode.
To change the Tone, follow this
example:
b) Press the GROUP button (36) in
the TONE select section to select
Tone Group ‘A’ or ‘b’. The display
will show the selected Group and
the TONE LED (22) will light.
c) Press a button (1~8) in the Tone
select section (37) to choose the
corresponding Bank number. The
last field (NUMBER) in the display
will show a flashing dash as it awaits
the entry of the final digit: the Tone
Number.
d) Press a button (1~8) in the TONE
select section (37) to choose the
Tone Number.
The display will indicate the number
of the selected Tone
(Group/Bank/Number) until you
select another one or select a
different function.
Now that we have selected a basic
Tone, it is possible to select
Variations.
To select Variations of the Upper
Tone, use the same procedure as
described in “Tone Variations”.
d) Drücken Sie wiederum einen der
Taster “1"~“8”, um die Klangnummer
auszuwählen. Im Display wird nun die
komplette Klangnummer mit 3 Zeichen
(Gruppe/Bank/Nummer) angezeigt, bis
Sie einen anderen Klang wahlen oder
eine andere Funktion aufrufen.
Auch der Lower-Sektion kénnen Sie
eine Klangvariation zuordnen. Siehe
“Klangvariationen”.
ANWAHL EINES KLANGS
FÜR DIE UPPER 1/2-SEKTION
Beim Einschalten des E-38 wird die
Upper-Sektion der rechten
Manualhälfte automatisch
eingeschaltet. Dieser Sektion wird
der Klang A11- Piano 1 zugeordnet.
a) Drücken Sie einen der SELECT-
Taster (23) in der TONE-Sektion,
damit die SELECT UP1- oder SELECT
UP2-LED leuchtet. Hierdurch wählen
Sie die Upper-Betriebsart an. Um
dieser Sektion einen anderen Klang
zuzuordnen, verfahren Sie bitte
folgendermaßen:
b) Drücken Sie GROUP (36), um
eine Klanggruppe auszuwählen ('A'
oder 'b'). Diese wird im Display
angezeigt. Außerdem leuchtet die
TONE-LED (22).
c) Drücken Sie einen der Taster
“1”-“8" in der TONE-Sektion, um
die BANK auszuwählen. Die BANK-
Nummer leuchtet im Display
konstant, während für die dritte
Zeichenposition (die Nummer) noch
ein blinkender Strich angezeigt wird.
d) Drücken Sie wiederum einen der
Taster "1"-"8" in der TONE-Sektion
(37), um die Klangnummer
auszuwählen.
Im Display wird nun die komplette
Klangnummer mit 3 Zeichen
(Gruppe/Bank/Nummer) angezeigt,
bis Sie einen anderen Klang wählen
oder eine andere Funktion aufrufen.
Nach der Anwahl eines Hauptklangs
können Sie der aktiven Sektion eine
Klangvariation zuordnen.
Die Bedienungshinweise hierfür
entnehmen Sie bitte dem Abschnitt
“Klangvariationen”.

d) Pressez 4 nouveau un bouton
(1-8) dans la section TONE (37)

nombre à trois chiffres (GROUPE-
BANQUE-NUMERO) qui ne cligno-
tera plus.
Pour la sélection des variations du
SON dans la section LOWER, suivre
les indications dans le chapitre
“Variations du son”.
COMMENT SÉLECTIONNER
UN DES 223 SONS EN SEC-
TION UP1/UP2
L'instrument sélectionne automati-
quement à la mise sous tension le
son A11 (Piano 1) pour le mode
Upper.
a) Pressez un des boutons SELECT
(23) pour choisir SELECT UP1 ou
SELECT UP2 (diode allumée.)
b) Pressez le bouton GROUP (36)
dans la section TONE pour sélec-
tionner le groupe “A” ou 'b'.
L'afficheur indiquera A ou b dans sa
partie gauche et la diode TONE (22)
sera allumée.
c) Pressez un bouton (1-8) dans la
section TONE (37) pour sélectionner
la banque du son voulu.
L'afficheur donnera le numéro de la
banque (BANK) sélectionnée en affi-
chage permanent et le numéro
(NUMBER) en affichage clignotant.
d) Pressez à nouveau un bouton (1-
8) dans la section TONE (37) pour
choisir le numéro du son voulu.
L'afficheur donnera alors un nombre
à trois chiffres (GROUPE-BANQUE-
NUMERO) qui ne clignotera plus.
Il est maintenant possible de sélec-
tionner les variations de ce son (s'il
en a).
Pour sélectionner une variation de
son Upper, veuillez suivre la procé-
dure indiquée dans le chapitre
“Variation du son”.
