SETTING
THE SPLIT POINT
The Split Point that divides the
kevboard into two sections (Upper
and Lower) can be moved to
accommodate vour plaving needs:
a) Press and hold the SPLIT
ARRANGER (19) or SPLIT LOWER
button (18) until its LED starts
flashing.
b) While continuing to hold the
SPLIT button (18/19), press a key
between C2 and B4 on the
keyboard. The key you press will
define the new split point between
the two sections.
NOTE;
The new Split Point remains in
effect until you switch off your E-38.
SELECTING DRUM SETS
First of all, select the Manual Drums
mode:
Press the SPLIT DRUMS (17) button
(indicator lights).
Now when you play on the
keyboard you'll notice that a
different percussion sound has been
assigned to every key.
(A "Drum Set' is the assignment of a
different percussion sound to each
key of the keyboard).
To select one of the seven remaining
Drum Sets:
a) Press one of the SELECT buttons
(23) until the SELECT MDR indicator
lights.
The number '1' will appear in the
display, indicating that the first
Drum Set is selected.

SPLITPUNKTES
Der Splitpunkt zwischen oberer
(Upper) und unterer (Lower)
Manualhälfte kann wie folgt
verándert werden:
a) Halten Sie SPLIT ARRANGER (19)
oder SPLIT LOWER (18) gedrückt, bis
die dazugehórige LED leuchtet.
b) Halten Sie den betreffenden SPLIT-
Taster (18/19) weiterhin gedrückt,
während Sie eine Manualtaste
zwischen dem C2 und dem H4
drücken. An diese Stelle wird dann
der neue Splitpunkt gelegt.
ACHTUNG:
Beim Ausschalten des E-38 wird
diese Einstellung wieder gelóscht.
ANWAHL EINES DRUM-SETS
Zuerst müssen Sie den Manual
Drums-Betrieb aktivieren:
Drücken Sie den SPLIT DRUMS-
Taster (17) (LED leuchtet).
Wenn Sie nun ein paar Noten
spielen, werden Sie merken, dafs
jeder Taste ein anderer
Schlagzeugklang zugeordnet ist.
(Ein ‘Drum Set’ ist übrigens eine
Gruppe von Schlagzeugklangen, die
Sie über das Manual spielen
kónnen).
Um ein anderes Drum-Set
anzuwáhlen, verfahren Sie fol-
gendermaßen:
a) Drücken Sie einen der SELECT-
Taster (23), bis die SELECT MDR-LED
leuchtet.
Im Display erscheint nun die
Nummer ‘1’, um anzuzeigen, daß
dieses Drum Set angewählt ist.

régler comme suit:
a) Pressez et tenez enfoncé le
bouton SPLIT ARRANGER (19) ou le
bouton SPLIT LOWER (18) jusqu’a
ce que la diode correspondante
commence a clignoter.
b) En gardant enfoncé le bouton
SPLIT ARRANGER (19) ou SPLIT
LOWER (19), pressez une touche du
clavier entre do 2 et do 4. Le point
de split (division) du clavier sera la
touche presée.
ATTENTION
Le point de SPLIT sélectionné ne
sera PAS gardé aprés avoir éteint
Vinstrument.
COMMENT SELECTIONER
UN DES 8 ENSEMBLES
RYTHMIQUES (SPLIT DRUMS)
Pour sélectionner et utiliser un des 8
ensembles rythmiques:
Pressez le bouton SPLIT DRUMS
(17) jusqu’a ce que la diode s'allume.
Il est maintenant possible de jouer
du premier ensemble rythmique
disponible; chaque touche du clavier
est assignée à un instrument de
percussion.
Pour sélectionner un des autres
ensembles disponibles:
a) Pressez le bouton SELECT (23)
jusqu’a ce que la diode SELECT
MDR s'allume.
Le numéro “1” s'affichera,
confirmant que le premier ensemble
est sélectionné.
