b) Press and hold the VARIATION
button (38) in the TONE select
section; three dashes will appear in
the displav.
c) While holding the VARIATION
button (38), select the second
Variation bv pressing the '2' button
in the TONE select section (37). The
number ‘2’ will appear in the
displav.
d) When vou release these buttons,
the number ‘2’ will be replaced by
‘AIT’.
Every time the VARIATION LED (38)
lights while the display reads 'A11',
you know that a Variation Tone of
A11 has been selected. That is
precisely the case in our example.
TONE SELECTION
FOR THE LOWER SECTION
Whenever you turn the E-38 on, it
will automatically select ‘Slow
Strings’ (A72) as the Lower Tone.
a) Press one of the SELECT buttons
(23) in the TONE select section so
that the LOWER LED lights.
b) Press the GROUP button (36) in
the TONE select section to select
Tone Group ‘A’ or 'b'. The display
will show the selected Group and
the TONE LED (22) will light.
c) Press a button (1-8) in the TONE
select section (37) to choose the
corresponding Bank number.
The display will show the selected
Bank number, while the number
starts flashing.

(38) in der TONE-Sektion gedriickt.
Im Display erscheinen nun drei
Striche.
c) Halten Sie den VARIATION- Taster
(38) weiterhin gedriickt, wahrend Sie
die 2" im TONE-Wahlfeld (37)
betätigen. Diese Ziffer erscheint nun
im Display.
d) Sobald Sie die beiden gedrückten
Taster wieder freigeben, erscheint
statt der ‘2’ wieder ‘A11’ im Display.
Wenn die VARIATION-LED (38)
leuchtet, wahrend im Display A11
angezeigt wird, wissen Sie, daß eine
Variation dieses Klangs angewähit ist.
Das genau ist der Fall in unserem
Beispiel.
ANWAHL EINES KLANGS FUR
DIE LOWER-SEKTION
Beim Einschalten des E-38 wird für
die LOWER-Sektion automatisch der
Klang “A72” (Slow Strings) angewählt.
a) Driicken Sie einen der SELECT-
Taster (36), bis die LOWER-LED
leuchtet.
b) Driicken Sie GROUP (36) in der
TONE-Sektion, um die bendtigte
Gruppe anzuwählen ('A' oder 'b'). Im
Displav erscheint nun der Name der
aktivierten Gruppe und die TONE-
LED (22) leuchtet.
c) Driicken Sie einen der Taster
"1”-“8" in der TONE-Sektion (37),
um die Bank auszuwählen. Die
BANK-Nummer leuchtet im Display
konstant, wahrend die NUMBER-
Anzeige noch blinkt.

TONE VARIATION (38).

c) En tenant enfoncé Je bouton
TONE VARIATION (38) sélectionnez
le numéro de la variation en pressant
un bouton de la section TONE (37).
Par exemple le bouton 2.
(Le numéro 2 s'affichera).
d) Après avoir relâché les boutons,
le numéro 2 disparaîtra et le
тої А11 s'affichera à nouveau.
La diode TONE VARIATION (38)
allumée et le mot A11 dans
l'afficheur indiquent qu'une
variation du son A11 a été
sélectionnée, et c'est ce son qui
est entendu au clavier.
COMMENT SÉLECTIONNER
UN DES 223 SONS
EN SECTION LOWER
L'instrument sélectionne
automatiquement à la mise sous
tension le son A72 (SLOW STRINGS)
pour la zone Lower.
a) Pressez le bouton
SELECT (26) pour avoir la diode
SELECT LWR allumée.
b) Pressez le bouton GROUP (36)
dans la section TONE pour
sélectionner le groupe "A" ou "b".
L'afficheur indiquera A ou b
dans sa partie gauche et la
diode TONE (22) sera allumée.
c) Pressez un bouton (1-8)
dans la section TONE (37)
pour sélectionner la banque du
Tone (son) voulu.
L'afficheur donnera la banque (Bank)
sélectionnée en affichage
permanent et le numéro (Number)
en affichage clignotant.
