6 Safety Devices
Safety bar
The safety bars are mounted to protect the fingers and rags from the danger of being caught
in
the press, when
doing work on the plate cylinder, blanket cylinder, impression cylinder, and parts around them while they are
rotating.
When a safety bar actuates, the press will stop immediately and the press cannot be run and crawled. When the
safety bar is reset in the former position, the press can be
run
and crawled.
The safety bars are located at the positions shown
in
the illustration below.
