12 Balance Sensor Assembly
This chapter describes removal and installation procedures for the Balance
Sensor Assembly (BSA) on a Segway PT.
WARNING!
• Failure to follow these safety precautions could lead to electrical shock,
serious injury, death, or damage to property.
• Read all instructions.
• Power off the Segway PT.
• Unplug the Segway PT.
• Remove batteries before servicing.
CAUTION!
• When a repair involves opening the console or chassis cover, best
practice electrostatic discharge (ESD) control procedures must be
followed. Failure to follow ESD procedures could result in personal
injury or damage to property.
When to Replace
Replace the BSA when diagnostic testing determines the component is
defective. For diagnostic procedures, contact a Segway Service Representative.
