Result
You created a new asset type. The new asset type is now available in the presets. The
following graphic shows the new available asset type "Windmill" in assets.
7.3 Adding a datasource and datapoints
7.3.1 Adding datasource
To receive the data of your MindConnect Element you need to add a datasource. The
datasource specifies the protocol and reading cycle that is used to transfer the data from
your asset to the MindConnect Element. Within the datasource, you enter the IP address of
the asset inside of your network.
Requirement
● You have created an asset and an aspect.
● You have enabled the connection to the MindConnect Element.
● You have the IP address of the asset inside of your network.
